The Scholastic Aptitude Test or simply "SAT" is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. The purpose of this test is Admission to undergraduate programs of universities or colleges and it is offered 4 times annually outside USA and 7 times annually within USA. Test scored on scale of 200800, (in 10-point increments), on each of two sections (total 4001600). Essay scored on scale of 28, in 1-point increments, on each of three criteria (total 624). The test is designed to measure skills in writing, critical reading and mathematics. The Evidence-Based Reading and Writing sections are 65 minutes of Reading with 52 questions, 35 minutes of Writing and Language with 44 questions. Math section consists of a 25 minute no calculator section of 20 questions, and a 55 minute calculator section with 38 questions. Duration of the test is 3 to 4 hours.
